In Memory and In Harmony

The memorial service for Vedek Buka and his followers will be held at the site of their settlement in two days. The local Bajoran community has organized a brief but deeply traditional ceremony to honor them.

A few representatives from the Bajoran Archaeology Group are scheduled to arrive tomorrow and will attend the ceremony.

On a lighter note, there is a classical music concert in the main park this evening, featuring a beautiful selection of both orchestral pieces and traditional songs.

Ranih and I, along with James and Jean, will be attending. Events like this are never just about the music; they serve as a vital way for our community to gather, heal, and reconnect.

It reminds me, as Jadzia and Ezri, of the darkest days on DS9 during the Dominion War. Back then, despite the constant threat, the diverse communities on the station united in the face of absolute adversity.

The Federation hasn't seen a conflict of that scale since, which only reinforces how fragile our current stability is. Peace is not a passive state, it is something to be actively treasured, nurtured, and fought for.
