The Council held its weekly session and the matter regarding the vote of no confidence in Yodron Togrohl was addressed. Collectively, the evidence presented was examined and as expected, the Council voted in favor of asking Yodron Togrohl to kindly stand down and allow for a new Trill representative to be nominated.

Given his recent stubbornness, we were bracing ourselves for more of the same or even a scene. Surprisingly, he accepted the decision of the Council, apologized for his recent behavior, and acknowledged that he was indeed struggling with his role. He received a standing ovation for his long service.

When it came to nominations for a new Trill representative, three names were put forward, including Ranih, who (to her surprise) won the majority vote. In her first address to the Council she thanked Yodron Togrohl for his dedication, saying that she would happily succeed him but could never replace him.

I am so proud of my wife. She has grown into an amazing woman since I first met her back on Trill. She is admired and respected by many in our community, and deeply adored and loved by me.

Well, I've done a little bit of research and Rom is still the current Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance at the ripe age of 137 with his wife Leeta (never quote a lady's age). From what I have read, he has made a few reforms to Ferengi society and the Rules of Acquisition. I won't go into details here, but suffice to say, they look like they are definitely an improvement with room to grow. I wonder if he has time to see an old friend and if so, it would make me the first Dax ever to visit Ferenginar.

who am I?

It's me, Dax. I'm Orzal, the 10th host of the Dax Symbiont. I followed on from Ezri in 2462, she was 108. To say that it's an honour to be the current host is an understatement.  I met my fiancée, Ranih, in 2466, just four years later and I proposed to her, as the sun rose over the Fa'hari Mountains on Trill, early this year. Our wedding is next year in the summer. Lots to do plenty to plan and sort. So, we live and work on the colony, our home for the foreseeable future. In my job, I do get a slight perk. Every third week, get to work from our orbital station. From there I enjoy a view of Docosie III and any amazing ships that visit.  Best get back to work - Dax.

Unexpected

Well.... That was unexpected. I visited the coffee shop this afternoon, just to get out of the house and stretch my legs.  When I got there, it was quite busy so as I was looking for a place to sit with my coffee, a voice spoke above the background noise say I could join them. I hadn't noticed who they were till I sat down.  That's when I looked at the couple sat across from me, Benjamin and Alora Bashir.  I tried to act normal but Alora picked up on it and asked if I was ok.  I thought about how to respond for what seemed like an eternity. Just as I was about reply, their coffees arrived. After a short pause, I introduced myself. Benjamin's eyes widened, similar to the infamous stare of Gowron.
