Music in the Park
Nearly forgot we had tickets for this. Tonight myself, Ranih and James Scott and wife are going to a Classical Music Concert in the Toromeya Park. The event will showcase classical music from both across the Alpha Quadrant and covering over 1000 years.
One of the pieces is called the 1812 Overture. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky wrote the 1812 Overture in 1880, commissioned to commemorate Russia's defense against Napoleon's invasion in 1812, with its first public performance in Moscow in 1882, featuring real cannons for dramatic effect. The piece is 593 years old.
Tonight they will be using cannons that have been made specially for the performance. I hear it's going to be loud.
